Hey hey hey! Today we are taking this flashback even farther back than my last post. This one takes us ALLLLLLL the way back to January 8th. Oh, you know, it’s only been about six months. Totally a reasonable turnaround time on a blog post, right?….. Right?
Back in January, alt. model Fate (if you follow my blog or Facebook regularly, you should be very aware of her by now!) was asked to shoot the cover of a magazine for the latex/nerd issue. I’m not going to get into it because it’s annoying, but for reasons beyond our control, the magazine fell through and the cover was given to someone else. Since it was their July issue, I couldn’t release the photos until recently, so I suppose this blog post isn’t SO late….. *searches for more excuses for being a slowpoke*
ANYWAY, moving on to our shoot day! January 8th!
I think that’s all the I really even needed to write in this post, so I am just going to stop there.
My assistant helping out with our first setup. She did a great job because these pictures turned out awesome. Thanks Pipes!

Wheeeeeww.. Is it hot in here?
On to our second setup! For this setup, I had Fate lay on the floor on a blanket, surround by my classic Nintendo 64 games, while I stood on a stool over her shooting down. She is a brave girl because I am clumsy and the stool was wobbly.
**DISCLAIMER: No models were harmed in the making of these super hot photos.**
^^ One of my favorite photos ever.
Ahhhhh!! I love this set so much. Four of my favorite things in one! Fate, N64, Pokemon, and latex! ❤
Here I am post-shooting! I often work in pajamas. That’s just how I roll.
Also, as you can see here, the blanket Fate was laying on was blue. I used a layer mask and a hue shift in post to make it appear purple to match Fate’s latex. Gotta work with what you got! I hope you liked the final results as much as I do.
If you’re interested in the amazing wig that Fate is rocking, it’s the Rainbow Rock: Hair Prism 1 from RockStar Wigs. Find it HERE!
Thanks Fate for being awesome as always!!
Hey peeps! Do you remember when I shot Casey Crespo’s spring line a few weeks ago? Hint: Click Me! Well, when I was in Wilmington, Casey , Genna, and I got together to knock out the rest of the line. This shoot is a continuation of the linked entry above. I will absolutely post a link to her Etsy store when it is up because I am positive you will want these clothes to be yours!!!

And finally… The best thing about Casey’s line is that everything looks awesome together. The more pieces you buy, the more outfits you have! You can mix and match nearly all of her pieces! Here is an example of how you can add the pieces to each outfit for a totally new look!
That’s it for now! Look out for the launch of her line in Spring 2012!
Hey guys! It has been a while since I’ve updated.. Things have been crazy for me lately (I feel like I am always saying this!!) between photography and modeling/acting. Seriously guys, I can’t wait to tell you all about what I’ve been up to. Secrets, secrets, are no fun! In the meantime, hop on over to my facebook fan pages and give them a “like”.. I’d really appreciate it!

SO! Now on to why you all are here… drum roll please… Drew Grant!
My buddy from film school turned 24 last week. As a gift to himself, he flew himself up to DC to do a photoshoot with me. It was the best present ever, because its not even my birthday and I got to hang with an old friend. Everyone wins! Not to mention that he is a hottie and is a blast to photograph.
What a great looking guy!
I love the green suspenders!!!
Work that train!
Uh oh… things are heating up!!!
OW OW!!! SOMEONE PUT OUT THE FIRE!
Hahaaa, I had SO much fun having Drew here over the weekend. Now I’m off to North Carolina to do some acting (haha) and shoot some Wrightsville Beach senior portraits.
Thanks again, Drew, and happy birthday!!! Hey gurl!
Just some shots around the house… Since it’s Mothers Day, here are some photos of my daughter:
An advantage of having a studio in my house..! Here’s me looking foxy:
Haha… kind of a pointless post. Bye!
Oooh, Ice Princess! Subreen and I have decided that we have been working too hard lately and wanted to do a creative shoot to relax and have some fun! We take breaks from work.. by working.. I know, we are obsessed! Can’t hate us for loving our jobs 🙂 So, after we found a night that worked for us, I went in search of a model to play with. That led us to miss Emma Blaney of High Point! She was so much fun! It’s hard to be around new people and be outgoing and chatty but she seemed like she has been friends with us forever. I love models like that!
Subreen started by curling her long, long hair. Then it was makeup time! Because of her super ultra glittery eyeshadow, Sub had Emma lie down on the floor to prevent a huge glitter mess! Haha! I came in the studio and was surprised to see them like that.. so goofy hahaha…
After a while of chit-chatting, video chatting with Genna!, and glittery madness, we got closer and closer to shooting. Time to prep my camera for the shoot.. I obviously wanted to use a cooler color temperature to portray this lovely “Ice Princess”.
Alright! We are ready! Hopped in the studio, set LR3 to tether the shoot so Subreen can watch (a new addition to my studio life, woohoo!), and off we go!

Thanks again, Emma! You were such a delight!
Hey! I hate to do this to you- two studio shoots in a row! I know! But fortunately, they are very different!!
Do you guys remember Sierra? The swan from my animal series? Well, today I shot her senior portraits! So happy to work with her again.. she is such an incredibly talented model. It blows me away! I would say that she is easily one of the top 3 most photogenic people I think I have ever shot…. which makes my job super easy and fun!!!
We were going to shoot location but the NC tornadoes seemed to prevent that. No problem!
Again, Subreen came out to Davidson to work her makeup magic on Sierra. We started with a more “natural” look… but not too natural!
She is just so photogenic! I love the blues of her shirt and eyes on the gray background. They compliment each other so well! Next up was a super cute denim dress. We knocked out a few studio shots with the dress and then after peeking out the window, I saw my chance to take her outside. With her dress and her cowboy boots, I knew just where to go…
This one is my favorite!! It totally looks like it could be an album cover or something. Carrie Underwood much?
Next up: Rockstar outfit! Sequin shirt that looks so great on her.. tough to pull something like that off! Glam!
The next outfit was my favorite outfit! Sierra kicked into fashion model mode and nailed these photos.
Sierra is going to USC next year where she is gonna rule the school. She wanted some photos with her incredibly long lasting USC balloons and USC hoodie. I love these.. I could just feel how excited Sierra was at the thought of going off to school. I am happy for her and I know she is going to kick ass down in South Carolina!
OH! Bonus picture:

Arsenio! Incredibly awesome makeup by Genna, incredibly awesome model Arsenio totally workin’ it… This is going to be a long post because I really, really love this shoot.
I think it speaks for itself so I’m not going to sit here and jabber all day. He wanted a mix of gritty and glamourous.. love it.
Gaga..oh la la!
Time for a wardrobe change!
