Meet Kelly! She is an aspiring fitness model based out of DC. After seeing some of my dance photography, Kelly contacted me for her fitness shoot for a blend of lifestyle, fitness, action, and headshots, and I am so glad she did. She has a fantastic personality and I had SUCH a fun time shooting and hanging out with her!
Let’s back up and start with a little behind-the-scenes beauty prep. This creative team is so awesome, so I want to take a moment to spotlight them as well.
These beauty wizards are Liz and Melissa. Take a second to check out their amazing portfolios:
MUA: Melissa Michelle
Hair: Ms. Liz
Thanks to the creative team for an awesome look!
Now let’s check out how completely fabulous Kelly is! We wanted to start off with a casual studio look, with a little oil for a touch of fitness sheen.
Looking so stunning! Then we swapped into fitness mode:
And then to lifestyle:
Oh my gosh… Isn’t she the cutest freaking thing? I LOVE IT.
I am so in love with these photos. I don’t care if I am tooting my own horn… She looks amazing!
So then we went back into fitness shooting. I made this poor girl run so many laps while waiting for the sun to drop down where I wanted it. She was definitely a trooper and cut out to be a fitness model! Thanks for being such a good sport, Kelly!
This is what I was waiting for!!! Here we go~~
And that’s a wrap on Kelly’s fitness shoot! I hope you guys enjoyed the new material and keep a look out as I have a TON of new stuff that will be hitting the blog very soon. As always, thanks for viewing!
Hey guys!! I am VERY, VERY excited to release to you the photos from my photoshoot last week with the incredibly talented Kaitlin Davin. She is an extremely beautiful person and an amazing dancer. I can’t rave about this girl enough! I had such a great time hanging out with her for this fun shoot, mixing in headshots, fashion, and dance.
Now, I’m not a huge fan of studio, so I figured we would just take a few headshots on a gray backdrop and then hit the streets. Kaitlin jumped right in and NAILED it on one of the very first shots. Doesn’t she look like a covergirl model?! Gorgeous.
Out to the streets! This girl loves Beyonce as much as I do, so I LOVED jamming to B on location. So great.
^Love that shot! One of my personal favorites of mine. ❤
Oh! I should also mention that it was near freezing that day! We had to stick close to the house so we could keep going in and warming up. Insanity. Kaitlin was a champ, though!
I just love how her body curves with the arch. I love shooting dancers!
LOVE THIS SHOT SO MUCH! Ugh.. I just love this whole session. I can’t pick a favorite shot!
Great attitude! So pumped on these! Isn’t her outfit perfect??
Allllright, I know this was a long post, but that’s a wrap on Ms. Kaitlin Davin. Keep an eye on this one… She’s got a bright future!
Andres and Jessica. Perfect.
I am soooo pleased to have been invited as a guest and as the photographer of Andres and Jessica’s wedding. I became friends with Andres and Jessica when I first met them for their engagement session (Quick reminder: Engagement Photos!) almost a year ago. SOMEHOW I managed to not know this sweet couple although they know EVERYONE I know, including my boyfriend. What the heck. I feel like I missed out on a great friendship all these years! But since we know all of the same peeps, it made this wedding one of the most fun to shoot. What a blast!!!
Well, lets get started! This is the story of Andres and Jessica’s wedding day… Here we go!
The venue was the Doubletree in Charlotte, NC. All of the folks here were so accommodating and helpful. Big ups to the wedding planner (someone please remind me of her name?) for this wedding.. She killed it! I know that wedding planning is no easy task, and I totally respect those who can handle the job!
The wedding is getting close!
HOW FREAKING AMAZING IS THIS DRESS??
I want one just like it for my wedding! Hey Jess, let me get that! Haha!
While Jess and I were waiting for the ceremony, we knocked out some quick bridal shots. Doesn’t she look gorgeous? Thanks Genna Poletti Makeup Artistry for the insanely stunning makeup. I know you made Jessica and the girls extremely happy.
Now it’s time to go! It’s time for the wedding!
After the wedding was the cocktail hour where everyone got to know each other and of course, get some cocktails!
Jessica and Andres got their own little private quiet time during the cocktail hour to be alone and spend a few minutes together as newlyweds! I love these!
And the fun begins!! Reception time! Try not to be overwhelmed by the amount of reception photos I am posting… I know it is excessive but I just loved this wedding so much and had a blast! I just want to share the fun with photo memories!
This is Jessica and Andres’ first dance as newlyweds… Too cute!
She got him!
Time to throw the bouquet and garter! That kid was so stoked… He cracked me up! I’m so glad he caught it haha!
This is my absolute favorite dance sequence I have ever shot. Isn’t it the most adorable thing you have ever ever ever seen? Oh my gosh. Can’t get over it. Hahaha… awww..
Finally a few more favorites from the rest of the night.
I had such a blast with Andres and Jessica on their wedding night. Thanks again to Mr. & Mrs. L for allowing me to be a part of it!!!
Meet Tepy & Matt.
Over the weekend, I traveled to DC to document Tepy’s birthday bash that her husband, Matt, threw for her. The photo above was taken in their living room after Matt’s living room-to-70s dance club transformation was complete. After bringing in the dance floor, the professional lights, the DJ stand, and traveling a FANTASTIC (hehe…) photographer from North Carolina, this DC disco party was ready to roll!
Pretty good disguise for a living room, eh?
A few of the disco party-goers all decked out in their 70s gear! I love these!
Snacks are in the kitchen!
And drinks are downstairs!
What’s a theme party without a photobooth setup? I am having a blast sifting through these photos…. I’m sure you can only imagine! Hehehe….
Hahaha… still laughing over these!
Time to bring this post to an end… a group shot of party-goers that happened to be downstairs at the time:
A great night, great people, and a great party. I hope people are talking about this one for a long time!!
That’s it for me! xx
Hey everyone!! Today was my DAY OFF from the movie! Decided that I needed to take a serious breather and go zen out shooting some yoga poses for my best friend, Nicole. Loving how they turned out!!!
She is so talented and strong! I am so proud of her!
Once it started getting a little bit darker, I decided I wanted to play with some flash. Time to light her up!! Again.. love the results! The colors turned out fantastic!
Now back to reality… work work work! Movie will be done at the end of this month and I’m fully booked until mid-May so you’ll have a lot of new stuff coming your way soon… xo!
Hey guys! Admittedly, the series has been falling behind lately… This is mostly due to my overflow on work shoots, so I guess I can’t complain too much!! So.. today we got back to the animal series. My sister is home for Thanksgiving and is also an acrobat with a feather outfit… so…. wouldn’t we be stupid if we didn’t make her be a bird for our series?
Behind the scenes! Poor things.. it was so cold!
Arsenio! Incredibly awesome makeup by Genna, incredibly awesome model Arsenio totally workin’ it… This is going to be a long post because I really, really love this shoot.
I think it speaks for itself so I’m not going to sit here and jabber all day. He wanted a mix of gritty and glamourous.. love it.
Gaga..oh la la!
Time for a wardrobe change!
